The CEC serves as an internationally-renowned model for developmentally appropriate and play-based programs for children, as well as an observation and training site for child development college students.
Professional Development
The CEC and its initiative, The Outdoor Classroom Project, offer a myriad of professional development opportunities to educators, with a focus on early childhood education.
Consulting and Design
The CEC consulting and design team supports other childhood education programs and organizations through a range of consulting and design services, including curriculum development, yard design, and center start-up, all focused on the outdoor classroom philosophy.

Gain the functional skills to assess and align play spaces with the Principles of the Natural Outdoor Classroom design principles.
